For any project – the ability to meet the specification is most important. And for lightweight concrete projects – the most important part of the speicfication is the target density (weight). If you can meet this – everything else becomes easy.

This week we tested our stability (density over time) at a large ready mix company’s laboratory.  With a target density of 1,200kg/ m3, after 90 minutes our lightweight concrete had the following properties:

1.  Density:              1,190kg/ m3 increased to 1,240kg/ m3:  change:   <5%

1. Flow  (the ability of the lightweight concrete to flow/ move): change:  <5%

With high flow over time and stable weighs, it is easy to see why our lightweight concrete is easy to use and helps make site work problem free.
